Vehicles equipped with the TelePASE system will be able to access discounts ranging from 50% to 100%, depending on the type of vehicle. Jorge Macri, the head of the city government, announced that the exemption will primarily apply to hybrid and electric cars, with the aim of promoting a more environmentally friendly city. Electric cars will be completely exempt from toll payment for a year, while hybrid cars will receive a 50% discount. It is essential to be enrolled in the TelePASE system to receive these benefits.
To access the discount, drivers must complete an in-person procedure at AUSA (Urban Highways S.A.) offices located in Parque Avellaneda. It is necessary to present the vehicle's green card confirming that it is hybrid or electric. Among the vehicles exempt from tolls are the Nissan Leaf, Renault Kwid E-Tech, Renault Mégane E-Tech, among others.
The Government of the City of Buenos Aires (GCBA) announced that some drivers will be exempt from toll payments and will have the opportunity to obtain TelePASE easily. To do this, drivers must visit the official website, complete the online form, select their preferred payment method, choose the method of delivery or pickup point, go to a placement point, and activate the device through the website. The measure aims to encourage the use of more environmentally friendly vehicles and reduce pollution in the city.
